The Chamber would like to welcome three new members to the Chamber. Foxcroft Golf Club - The Foxcroft Golf Club is a nin hole golf course in Dover-Foxcroft. The par 35 course is owned by Louis G. Thiebeault who is P.G.A. professional. Judy Craig Consulting - Judy Wilbur Craig designs and maintains web pages from her office in Dexter. Judy publishes The Daily ME, a local on-line newspaper as well. The Atkinson Learning Center - The Atkinson Learning Center is the Adult Learning Center for both SAD #68 and SAD #41. The directore for the center is Shirley Wright The Katahdin/Moosehead/Penquis Association; a tourism promotion organization held its monthly meeting in Greenville on June 10th. This new service will be kicked off on July 25th with the 2nd Annual Railroad Festival in Brownville Junction. The B & A will offer two trips that day, one to Millinocket at 10 a.m. and one to Greenville at 2 p.m. The trips will be repeated on Sunday, July 26th. Cat Trax The Chamber is pleased to announce that Ralph Gabarro, the CEO of Mayo Regional Hospital ahs agreed to join the SPCCC Board of Directors. Ralph will be replacing George Mueller who has moved to Camden. Betty Chabot of the Dexter Regional Federal Credit Union has resigned from the Board of Directors. The Chamber would like to thank Betty for her work with the Chamber. Betty's talents as a raffle ticket sales person will be missed. The Chamber would also like to thank long time Director George Mueller for his work with the Chamber and other organization in Piscataquis County. |
The Southern Piscataquis County Chamber of Commerce held its first after hours meetng at the Mooseriver Coffee House in Dover-Foxcroft. NIne members attended the meeting, they were: Mike & Ivy Brooks of the Brewster Inn, Bob & Gail Lynch of Wildflowers B & B, Gordon & Judy McKinney of Webber Hardwar, Dave & Carol Amreing of North Country Properties, and Judy Craig of Judy Craig Consulting & Web Design. Executive Director Dennis Lyford explained that the Chamber would like to have its members play a more active role in chamber events.
